What is your day job?
I work remotely as an engineer for Advanced Drainage Systems, a nation-wide stormwater product manufacturing company.
How long have you lived in the Grand Traverse area?
I’ve lived in the Traverse City area for a little over a year, but am originally from Houghton Lake, Michigan
What is your favorite aspect of living/working in the Traverse City area?
I like that Traverse City has all the perks of living in Northern Michigan with the amenities of a larger city.
What do you do for fun?
Outside of work I spend lots of time snowboarding, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, or basically anything to get outdoors. I also love getting together with my family, brewing mead in my garage, travelling to see my best friends around the country, and watching the Packers and Wolverines.
How do you get involved in the community?
To get involved in the community I go to run club every week, play in the beach volleyball league, or just get together with friends.
What is your favorite local business (restaurant, shop, service,etc.) and why?
There are so many great local businesses in Traverse City; its one of the best parts about living here! But I’d have to say Chubby Unicorn and The Little Fleet are my top 2.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I worked as a research assistant for a project at the Bernal Institute in Limerick, Ireland, studying enzyme reaction kinetics.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
You might be surprised that I was voted Green Bay Packer fan of the week in 2018.
What is something you learned in the last week?
I learned that the World Cup is very entertaining.
