How long have you lived in the Grand Traverse area?
I have lived in Traverse City, most of life beyond college years at Michigan State University. About 25 years in total.
What is your favorite aspect of living/working in the Traverse City area?
The community is my favorite aspect, you don’t get too many places in the world with the fresh water, outdoor activities, and food & drink offerings like we have, all while maintaining a strong commitment to our community and a high tide floats all ships mentality.
What do you do for fun?
golf, hockey, pickleball and lake days are a couple of my favorite activities.
How do you get involved in the community?
Working closely with Traverse Connect as an ambassador keeps me up to date on the happenings in our region along with being the current President of the Traverse City Optimist Club. At the Optimist Club we believe in “By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in youth, our communities and ourselves” and work closely with local non-profits to provide resources that help strengthen our next generation of leaders.
What is your favorite local business (restaurant, shop, service,etc.) and why?
Chubby Unicorn, some of the best sandwiches and a fun atmosphere downtown. Plus its my cousin’s shop!
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
Bouncer/Door Man at the U&I one summer, more of a glorified card reader. LOL

I am afraid of heights….
What is something you learned in the last week?
OOOF, a lot of boring insurance concepts.

Let’s talk insurance! Otherwise I genuinely appreciate just meeting people and building my network of people/friends in this town to grow together.
