What is your day job?
Business Development Manager for Moore Mechanical. Anything that has to do with plumbing, heating, cooling, or generators, I am contacting the general contractor or the customer to supply a quote with the hopes of landing the job. I get to see the vision of homeowners and builders of each project and be a part of making that vision come true. I get to meet amazing people, creating and building relationships!

How long have you lived in the Grand Traverse area?
August 2012 moved here from Austin, Texas.

What is your favorite thing about living and working in the Traverse City area?
My favorite thing is the amount of hiking trails surrounded by God’s Creation.

What do you do for fun?
I am currently the Golf Professional at The Crown Golf Club. I love to teach the game of golf and fit people for golf clubs. I also love to spend as much time as possible with my 2-year-old daughter, Myra. Anything outdoors from kayaking, hiking, biking, rollerblading, volleyball, and just being with people.

How do you get involved in the community?
Currently, I am involved in the Garden Project at Kensington Church. I am also on the Golf Committee for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Michigan.

What is your favorite local business and why?
I really love Chefs In and Moomers. Sarah and her family at Chefs In are wonderful and I am there weekly for sure. My daughter loves to take trips to Moomers for ice cream and to see the cows.

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
There is a driving range back home in Ottawa Lake, Michigan that would always flood. So as kids, my sister and I would put on tall yellow boots and hand pick range golf balls with shag bags in three inches of water. Just a muddy and smelly mess.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I grew up in a family shoe repair business in Toledo, Ohio that was started in 1947 by my grandfather, Pasquale DiTerlizzi. It is still going today, and I have some hidden shoe repair talents. I come from a big Italian family, and we are REALLY loud!

What is something you learned in the last week?
I learned how to lay out ductwork in a new home.

How can other TCYP members support you?
I would be honored to have anyone call me for any plumbing, heating, and cooling needs.  Whether a small service call, to a furnace change out, to a new home or a new commercial building.

If anyone is interested in golf lessons or on the market to buy golf clubs, please call me at any time. I went to school for Golf Management and have a big passion for the golf business and the game of golf.
