What is your day job?

Co-owner of ClaySpaceTC. Teacher of pottery and ceramics.

How long have you lived in the Grand Traverse area?

2015-Present, 7 years

What is your favorite thing about living/working in the Traverse City area?

The community, seemingly always has new people to meet, new places to go, and things to do.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy playing golf, hanging out with friends, and making pottery

How do you get involved in the community?

I am a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters and TCYP.

What is your favorite local business and why?

Earthen Ales, the beer is excellent and the people at Earthen Ales are amazing and supportive.

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

In college, I worked as an alumni donation caller. I would call a long list of alumni and ask them to make a donation.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I played baseball for four years in college.

What is something you learned in the last week?

To be more introspective and reflective, with the goal to find the things worth remembering each day.

The best way to support me is to try a pottery class or workshop at ClaySpaceTC. Or when you’re in need of a gift, think first of local artists creating amazing work.
