Jonathan Pool saw early in his engineering career that most solutions to thorny problems never fully addressed the root cause. He learned that the right questions would reveal a bigger story, lead to greater understanding, and result in better outcomes. He became known as “the engineer of last resort” for those with significant problems in need of creative solutions. Perspective-first strategy was, and still is the foundation of his work. Understanding how things got to where they are today gives one the ability to make great decisions for a better outcome.
After spending the past decade working with entrepreneurs and multi-million dollar growth firms, Jonathan has a deep understanding of how leaders and organizations differentiate, grow and thrive. He’s equipped over 200 leaders at Otterbox™️ to chart their own entrepreneurial pathways in career and life, and guided the core team of JDA Worldwide to alignment and traction with new business entity Prolific.world.
Jonathan helps clients solve problems worth solving, develop into leaders worth following, and build high functioning teams that are aligned around a common cause. Clients who engage with him say they get clarity like never before in a personable, playful, and thought-provoking way.
He is a University of Notre Dame graduate, been a master level certified facilitator and trainer of Tom Paterson’s best-in-class strategic planning process, and been trained in the Allender Center’s internationally recognized methodology to overcome trauma-based barriers to growth. His specialties include:
Developing fully engaged leaders
Identifying and optimizing talent
Making future shaping strategic decisions
Finding alternative pathways to success
Overcoming obstacles and barriers to growth
When he’s not leading leaders you can find Jonathan coaching the mountain bike coaches at Norte, telemark skiing in the backcountry, pushing the boundaries of windsurf wave sailing on Lake Michigan, and turning the ordinary into adventure at every opportunity.
