What is your day job?
Marketing & Communications Specialist for Cherryland Electric Cooperative
How long have you lived in the Grand Traverse area?
Born and raised!
What is your favorite thing about living/working in the Traverse City area?
When the work day is over, there is no shortage of things to do, places to eat, and entertainment to enjoy. This is a truly special place in the world to live, work, and play.
What do you do for fun?
When I’m not chasing my 2-year-old daughter, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and friends, particularly if there is golf and a frosty beverage involved.
How do you get involved in the community?
Outside of my involvement with the YPs, I like to take advantage of the volunteer opportunities offered to me through my employer, my parish, and local charitable organizations like the Father Fred Foundation.
What is your favorite local business (restaurant, shop, service, etc.) and why?
My favorite restaurant is by far Red Ginger. Their service is exemplary and their food is beyond awesome!
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
When I was young, my dad would pay me to perform all the odd jobs around the family-owned car dealership. This included painting the cement bases of light poles on the lot, pulling weeds, recycling ancient file boxes, moving furniture, and more.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I was originally going to study musical theater in college. I enjoy acting and singing! Dancing… not so much.
What is something you learned in the last week?
A warren is a network of interconnecting rabbit tunnels (thank you, daily crossword!)
How can other TCYP members support you (personally or professionally)?
Encourage your friends and coworkers to join the YPs! And if you are already involved and want to step up your game, join a committee!
