What is your day job?
I am the Property Manager at TC Lofts in Downtown Traverse City.
How long have you lived in the Grand Traverse area?
I was born in raised in the Grand Traverse area. I briefly left for college but came back after to be close to all of my family in the area.
What is your favorite thing about living/working in the Traverse City area?
I love the small town feel of Traverse City. Even though Traverse City is growing quickly, it is still holding on to its small town charm. I love being able to go Downtown and run into friends.
What do you do for fun?
I really enjoy biking so you will often find me on our amazing TART trail in the summer.
How do you get involved in the community?
I find that volunteering through the TCYPs has allowed me to really get involved in the community and to meet some extraordinary people I might not have had the chance to do so otherwise.
What is your favorite local business (restaurant, shop, service,etc.) and why?
I love Nifty Things! I find they are always my go-to when I need a gift or fun card to help celebrate a birthday.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I haven’t really held a job that I would consider to be weird. I will say that in my current role as a Property Manager I have seen and experienced some weird things. It has just taught me to be very adaptable in any situation that might arise.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I have never taken a sick day in any of the jobs that I have held.
What is something you learned in the last week?
I have recently learned how to install windows and doors in a house. Here’s to hoping I did it right.
How can other TCYP members support you (personally or professionally)?
I find that other TCYP members are a great resource to bounce ideas off of. They offer a great support network and can give honest and helpful feedback when looking for additional support.
