I am involved in the young professionals’ group, Rotary, and sit on several boards and committees in the legal industry as well.
What is your favorite local business (restaurant, shop, service, etc.) and why?
Town Plaza by far is my favorite restaurant. They always have a great menu and food. Nifty Things always has a gift for any occasion, especially for those hard to shop for people. Fustini’s is a regular staple in my house since I love to cook.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I was a buyer in the beauty industry and the company I worked for had a retail catalogue targeted towards women, let’s just say there was a whole section on “personal health equipment” which I had to do all the ordering/buying and stocking the warehouse for as well as sourcing products and manufacturers.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I learned how to do some electrical work on houses by watching YouTube last year.
What is something you learned in the last week?
I learned that “mahr” in the Islamic tradition is not the same as what we think of as a “dowry.”
How can other TCYP members support you (personally or professionally)?
Referrals are always appreciated, but I really just like the comradery and social aspect of the YPs and I hope everyone comes out to social events (when they become more regular again) and get involved with the group. It is a great way to meet friends and grow both personally and professionally.
