What is your day job?
I work for Rowan Digital Infrastructure as a Senior Associate. Specifically, I lead our sustainability program. On a day-to-day basis, I coordinate with our engineering and construction vendors to ensure we’re including low-carbon materials in the buildings we are constructing. Additionally, I ensure we comply with strict European sustainability standards.
How long have you lived in the Grand Traverse area?
I grew up in Leelanau County. For college, I moved out to Arizona and then moved back a few years ago.
What is your favorite thing about living/working in the Traverse City area?
The water. Without a doubt. Water is what makes this place so special.
What do you do for fun?
Hiking, running, longboarding, canoeing, boating, swimming, and dancing!
How do you get involved in the community?
I get involved through a variety of groups. For example, TCYP, Evergreen, Traverse City Social Sports, and Ecstatic Dance.
What is your favorite local business (restaurant, shop, service,etc.) and why?
Hexenbelle, because their food is the best in town. Hands down.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I was an Asian food delivery driver in Phoenix, AZ for a year.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I enjoy cold plunging!
What is something you learned in the last week?
I learned how to graphically represent the superposition of a proton in order to assess/measure its most likely location at a quantum level.
How can other TCYP members support you (personally or professionally)?
Just keep participating, TCYP is clearly growing, so it’s exciting to see more young professionals in Traverse City, which historically hasn’t had many young professionals.
