Success Stories in a Crisis: The Filling Station Microbrewery

This week, The Filling Station Microbrewery began a pay-it-forward program entitled Share A Slice; Patrons may support the most vulnerable in their community by purchasing a pizza (also salads) for $10 to be saved for a group that is in need. The idea originated from a New Year’s Day donation of food for Safe Harbor Night Shelter. The Filling Station Microbrewery was recently touched by the generosity of local business owner, Paul Britten of Britten Inc., who purchased over 250 pizzas for his laid-off employees. Britten, like many businesses in our region, was forced into temporary closure due to the Governor’s “Shelter In Place” Executive Order (2020-21). The Filling Station Microbrewery will also be providing pizza for staff in the COVID-19 Unit and Emergency Room at Munson Medical Center on April 7-8. The Filling Station Microbrewery continues to operate for carry-out orders only.
