Traverse Connect conducted its second quarter Business Growth Barometer Survey of investor and member businesses, aimed at providing a snapshot of our regional business sentiment, outlook, and current challenges. Quarterly surveys inform the organization’s strategic priorities and help it respond to the needs of the business community.
Ninety-three percent of respondents agree that the Grand Traverse Region is a good place to grow their business, with 87% in agreement that the region is improving as a place to grow their business, an increase from the first quarter. Compared to the winter, respondents feel more positive about summer staffing and recent developments to address the region’s attainable housing barriers to business growth.
Traverse Connect’s accomplishments for the second quarter of 2024 are summarized in relation to our six focus areas that are aligned with our strategic priorities of enhancing the competitiveness of the Grand Traverse regional economy, driving the growth of second-stage businesses, and developing and attracting a talented workforce.
