The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) is hosting a series of webinars to help businesses learn more about HVAC modifications to prevent indoor risk of airborne exposure to COVID-19.
COVID-19 is spread through droplets from our mouth or nose that can easily be transmitted in the air while speaking, sneezing, or coughing. Businesses that have close indoor quarters may want to consider updating their HVAC system or make modifications to limit airborne exposure.
In partnership with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and Michigan Saves, the webinar series will educate businesses in HVAC and airborne transmission. Furthermore, there will be a question and answer portion with Sean Egan, Michigan COVID-19 Workplace Safety Director. Businesses can submit questions to LEO-comms@michigan.gov.
