In an effort to keep the community informed during the COVID-19 pandemic, Grand Traverse County has launched a new website, gtcountycovid19.com, and a corresponding Facebook page to serve as a central hub of up to date, factual information on the community response.
The website includes the following information in a clear and easy to navigate format:
- Joint Operations Center daily community update
- A COVID-19 case tracker including world, U.S., Michigan and Grand Traverse County
- Resources and information for
- Families and Older adults
- Residents/Community
- Childcare/Parents
- Employers/Workers
- Food
- How to help.
All critical health updates will continue to come from the Grand Traverse County Health Department and Munson Healthcare. This information will then be shared on the new county COVID-19 website.
This website and Facebook page were built by Traverse City-based digital marketing agency Lake Effect Associates, with guidance from the Grand Traverse County Joint Operations Center.
Grand Traverse County’s Joint Operations Center has been meeting daily to coordinate efforts and communication on the COVID-19 pandemic since Friday, March 14. Members include key community partners from health, government, first responders, education, social service, and business sectors.
