As Governor Whitmer is focused on fighting the current COVID-19 health crisis, the Legislature is making plans to help Michigan recover from the current economic crisis. They’re looking for feedback from businesses on how Michigan can safely and systematically start opening for business.
To begin the process of planning for economic activity, the Senate has created a bipartisan “Safe Behavior for Safe Workplaces” task force. Northern Michigan is represented both by State Senator Curt VanderWall and State Senator Wayne Schmidt. The task force’s recommendations will be presented to Gov. Whitmer by April 17.
The Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance wants to ensure that the task force hears from our communities and businesses. Your input is requested by Wednesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. to help inform this process. Take the survey here.
