Camille Hoisington, Director of Ecosystem Development
Camille Hoisington is a dedicated professional with a passion for fostering vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystems serving as Traverse Connect’s Director of Ecosystem Development. Camille holds a B.A. in Natural Science and an M.Litt in Geography from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.
Having joined Traverse Connect in December 2019, Camille has quickly made her mark with her expertise in building and nurturing innovation networks. Camille grew her career in New York City, where she was Director of Innovation Network at Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, spearheading the Make It in Brooklyn initiative to support entrepreneurs. Camille was also Program Director at startup hub 1776, and Community Manager at Urban Future Lab, NYC’s only cleantech and smart cities incubator.
From helping startups scale in NYC, to strengthening opportunities for people and businesses in Northern Michigan, her strength lies in crafting vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystems. She excels at communicating with stakeholders and forging cross-sector relationships with corporate leaders, founders, and talent within the innovation ecosystem to identify success stories, commonalities and opportunities, ultimately implementing initiatives and providing solutions for business scalability and impact.
Residing in Traverse City, MI, with her spouse, two children, and their cat, Camille balances her professional endeavors with a love for literature, outdoor adventures, and savoring delicious cuisine. Her commitment to community involvement is evident through her volunteer work, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Great Lakes Children’s Museum.
